100 Years of Faithful Service

Rev. Keith Blom was recognized for his 40 years of service at a luncheon with a special cake, and Janice Splawski was presented with a stained-glass picture depicting her 60 years of service.

ATIKOKAN, Ont. – Faith Lutheran Church in Atikokan recently acknowledged two dedicated servants for their combined years of service. 

Rev. Keith Blom has faithfully served as a pastor for 40 years, since his ordination in 1982, and is still bringing Word and Sacrament to congregations beyond his retirement years, most recently serving Faith as a vacancy pastor. 

Janice Splawski has been the church’s organist for 60 years, rarely missing a service since she began as the organist in her teen years. 

Together their years of service total 100 years. Thanks be to God for these devoted servants.
