MISSION, B.C. – Lutheran Bible Translators of Canada (LBTC) awarded their Lifetime Achievement Award to Laurie Lonneberg on June 16, 2019.

Rev. Ron Mohr, LBTC Executive Director, presented the award to Lonneberg “with thanks and praise to God” for Lonneberg’s “many years of service to and support of Lutheran Bible Translators of Canada.” The presentation was made during the June 16 morning worship service at Mt. Calvary Lutheran (Mission, B.C.).

LBTC Missionary/Translator Martin Weber sent a stirring tribute recounting how Laurie volunteered for several months in the 1980s building a house for the Webers in Cameroon. Over the years, Lonneberg has helped with other construction projects, served on LBTC’s board of directors, and as board chairman.

Lutheran Bible Translators of Canada is a Listed Service Organization of Lutheran Church–Canada.
