Australian natural disasters

Rev. Dr. Mike Semmler, president of the Lutheran Church of Australia has expressed his thanks to President Bugbee for the prayer support Lutheran Church–Canada has offered as his country deals with both fires and floods. He wrote “We are praying for the victims whose lives are now traumatized, for those who have lost family and friends, for the fire fighters, especially the volunteers, for medical personnel and for government as they attempt to help pick up the pieces and plan for the rebuilding of lives and communities…The pastors and people of the Lutheran Church of Australia are appreciative of the concern expressed and the prayers offered from many parts of the Lutheran world including from President Bugbee of Lutheran Church–Canada.”
