LCC seminaries announce first calls, placements

CANADA – This past weekend, Concordia Lutheran Seminary (CLS – Edmonton) and Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary (CLTS – St. Catharines, Ontario) held their convocation and call services, during which time they announced first calls for graduating pastors, as well as vicarage and diaconal internship placements.

This year there are two graduating pastoral students who received their first calls. Connor Buck (CLS) has been called to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Creston, B.C. Daniel Cunningham (CLTS) has been called to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kitimat, B.C. Additional information on the graduates will appear in the coming issue of The Canadian Lutheran.

During the services, four students received their vicarage placements. Albert Ho (CLTS) will serve his vicarage at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (Winkler, Manitoba); Martin Jagnow (CLS) at Grace Lutheran Church (Drumheller, Alberta); Aaron Parkhurst (CLTS) at Immanuel Lutheran Church/Trinity Lutheran Church (Gowanda, Silver Creek, New York); and Vijay Samuel (CLTS) at Redeemer Lutheran Church (Waterloo, Ontario).

One student also received her diaconal internship placement. Samantha Neeb (CLS) will serve her internship at King of Kings Lutheran Church (Spruceview, Alberta).
