Nominations for LCC Family Ministries due soon

CANADA – A reminder that nominations for Lutheran Church–Canada’s new position of Associate Director–Family Ministries are due by September 15, 2024.

LCC’s Board of Directors is seeking nominations for the position, which has been created in response to Resolution 22.3.03 passed at the 2022 Synod Convention, that Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC) engage a full-time church worker to provide and create resources, training, and support to all youth, young adult, and family ministry workers and volunteers in LCC, LCC’s Board of Directors is seeking nominations for an Associate Director-Family Ministries.

This role involves engaging with leaders across the synod to develop resources and facilitate events for congregations, primarily in the areas of youth, young family and young adult ministry. Additionally the role includes creating communication opportunities to connect ministry leaders across the synod.

LCC is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• A person on the roster of LCC or willing to join the roster of LCC upon their acceptance and installation.
• Knowledgeable and fully committed to the doctrinal position of LCC.
• At least five years experience with youth ministry, young adult ministry and family ministry.
• Experience in group leadership, workshop development and implementation, curriculum development and delivery, teaching.
• Enjoys travelling throughout Canada and networking with stakeholders.
