Advent Devotions for 2024

NATIONAL – Every year, Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots (LAMP) and Lutheran Hour Ministries release free Advent devotions which you can download and use at home.

Lutheran Hour Ministries’ devotions for this year are entitled “Come Let Us Adore Him.” “Christmastime is when we look again to God’s great love and mercy,” focusing on “Jesus’ lowly birth—God coming to us as a Child—and marvel at a love so freely given to a world so hostile and corrupt,” the devotional explains.  “There is really no response possible other than ‘Come, Let Us Adore Him!’”

The series can be accessed through Lutheran Hour Ministries – Canada’s website here, where it is available for download in English in Regular Print, Large Print, and in Print-Read formats. It is also available in French, in Chinese, and in Spanish. There is also a weekly Family Devotional entitled “The Joy of God’s Presence” available in English with colouring pages and extra Advent activities available on LHM-Canada’s Advent resource page here.

LAMP’s Advent devotions for this year are entitled “God’s Gift to Us,” and reflect “the gift of Jesus that our volunteers and staff share with the children every time they serve in the northern Indigenous communities.”
