New managing director for Lutheran Hour Ministries-Canada office

KITCHENER, Ont. — The Board of Directors of Lutheran Laymen’s League of Canada (LLLC) is pleased to announce that Lisa Jackson of Waterloo, Ontario will serve as the organization’s new Managing Director. Ms. Jackson is a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Waterloo where she has organized numerous mission trips to Nicaragua to assist congregations of Lutheran Church Synod of Nicaragua. She succeeds Stephen Klinck who served the LLLC for more than 30 years and is retiring.

“Lisa brings to our organization her management and leadership skills plus an enthusiasm and passion for sharing the Gospel at a time when we see so many new opportunities,” said Ian Adnams, president of LLLC.

Lisa holds a master’s degree in Leadership Studies from the University of Guelph, and has also studied marketing and communications. When asked, Ms. Jackson said she is “looking forward to serving on the front lines in my daily life.”

Lutheran Laymen’s League of Canada operates one of 34 Lutheran Hour Ministries centres around the world served by men and women who direct the work of LHM in their regions and support and encourage local Lutheran churches and volunteers to share the Good News of the Gospel in their cultural context.

In Canada LHM broadcasts The Lutheran Hour on 81 radio stations, and creates and supplies congregations with outreach resources, Bible studies and devotional materials. In addition, the Canadian operation is engaging a growing number of people on social media.

Ms. Jackson will begin serving at LLLC’s Kitchener office mid-May allowing for an overlap with the current managing director.
