Pray for LCC’s Missions in August

ONLINE – Lutheran Church–Canada’s (LCC) Executive for Missions and Social Ministry, Rev. Dr. Leonardo Neitzel, is calling on church members to keep the church’s missions in prayer this August. In keeping with LCC’s current triennial theme—”Come to Him Who Answers Prayer”—Dr. Neitzel has prepared a prayer calendar highlighting the needs of LCC missionaries around the world.

The August calendar focuses on missionary activity in Central America. It highlights the work of pastors, deaconesses, and missionaries in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Honduras.

St. James reminds us that the “prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working” (5:16b). It is important, therefore, for members of LCC to raise up Gospel-proclamation and international missions in prayer.
