This summer give children a ‘Big Jungle Adventure’

Concordia Publishing House is offering a specially priced “All-Inclusive” Starter Kit for “Big Jungle Adventure,” its 2011 vacation Bible school program.  The items in the $119.99(US) kit would cost $269(US) if purchased separately.

With the theme “A Faith Journey with Jesus,” based on 2 Tim. 4:18, “Big Jungle Adventure” focuses on a different Bible story each day of the five-day program: the rescue of Moses from the water, crossing the Red Sea, the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus’ empty tomb and John’s vision of heaven in Revelation.  Children are introduced each day to a different jungle animal that guides them through the story.

Back again this year are the “Grab and Go” lessons that require minimal preparation time and feature separate leader packs for each of “Big Jungle Adventure” activity sites (storytelling, crafts, games, Bible challenge and snack).  Each pack features a leaders guide, daily lessons and—if required for that station—an electronic media disk.

The “All-Inclusive” Starter Kit (item no. 321143) includes a director’s guide and pre-school guide with CD resources, a program-overview DVD, a song-action DVD, and samples of student certificates, name tags, tribal “buffs” and the new Bible collectibles—plastic figurines of the animals with daily Bible verses printed on one side.

Also available, free of charge, are downloadable resources that include clip art, publicity aids, decorating ideas and an online registration tool for VBS enrollment that began March 15.
